I’ve not written a blog post in a while - nearly two years to be exact. In fact, I haven’t written much of anything in a while. 2018 put me in a strange place. I hate to attribute my mindset to a number, but it was a very weird year for me and in many ways, it was weird in the best way.

Vans Warped Tour 2016: Auburn, WA
On August 11th, I woke up at 4:30am to head to Seattle. Why, you ask? I don’t quite know, other than I was going to shoot my first Warped Tour. Why I picked such an early flight though? I don’t know, but Seattle is one of my favourite cities in the world so I guess I wanted to spend as much time there as I possibly could.
The 2016 Calgary Stampede: A Look Back
Nothing in life is a guarantee. For me, I hold three things as a guarantee, and that’s birthdays, Christmas, and, well, the Calgary Stampede. Because every year, no matter the circumstance, they come around. Walking into the Stampede grounds each year as a born and raised Calgarian has an element of surreal-ness to it. Almost as if each year goes by faster than the last, or that I never really left.

The rest of April has felt like January, because coming down from the experience that was the 2016 JUNO Awards was like Christmas. Every other day has felt like Boxing Day or New Years, occasions that are just slightly less exciting than the adrenaline rush of Christmas morning.
